On November 7, 2021 President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva laid the foundation stone for Dashalti mosque in Shusha.

Religious and spiritual monuments destroyed by the enemy in our liberated territories during the period of occupation are being restored, and new ones are being built. Having taken such a step on the eve of the Victory Day, President Ilham Aliyev sends one more important message to the world: We are not only landscaping our lands, and creating a modern infrastructure for the return of former internally displaced population but also cleaning up traces of Armenian vandalism against religious and cultural monuments on these lands, restoring our sacred values.
