On December 21, 2023, President Ilham Aliyev visited the Dashalti village mosque in the Shusha district to inspect the progress of its construction. He received an update on the work being carried out.

In the liberated territories, numerous religious and cultural monuments that were destroyed during the occupation are being restored, and new structures are being built. The Dashalti Mosque is one such project.

The foundation of the mosque was laid on November 7, 2021 by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. Currently, reinforced concrete and stone masonry work is ongoing for the mosque, auxiliary buildings, and retaining walls. The project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
