On October 9, 2021 President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited Hadrut settlement and Tugh village of Khojavand district. The head of state laid a foundation stone for a new mosque in the Hadrut settlement.

It was reported that the height of the minaret of the mosque, which will be built for the local population in the Hadrut settlement, will be 26 meters. On the second floor of the mosque, where 250 people will be able to pray at the same time, there will be a worship room for women. It is planned to use special decoration elements in the design of the facade of the mosque.
